Director of Assessment & Verification

An opportunity has arisen for a non executive Director of Assessment & Verification to join our team.

The Role

Reporting to the Board, this is an important new role. The successful candidate shall be at the heart of driving continuous improvement and development with our centre. This position offers candidates the opportunity to make a positive and important impact upon our services to learners and the future development of the Company.

This position shall be responsible for ensuring that the Centre meets the requirements for Awarding Bodies in all matters relating to verification, assessment, and registration of assessors and verifiers. An effective communicator and motivator you shall lead and manage our team of Internal Verifiers and Assessors. A full job description ios available upon request.

The Person

Candidates should have detailed knowledge of NVQ Internal Verification Processes in Construction Trades alongside knowledge of relevant qualifications and awarding body requirements. Experience of devising assessment materials & systems in line with awarding body requirements is essential.

The role demands a hands on leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills who is capable of developing and nurturing their team. Strategic insight must be combined with a commitment to reflective practice, professional development & performance improvement. Candidates must be V1 qualified and a PGCE or Cert ED is desirable.

Candidates shall be requied to travel extensively as part of the role and must hold a valid driving licence.
