Tutors - Various Construction Trades

Due to the introduction of new training programmes, career opportunities have arisen within our Training Centre for skilled, professional Tutors.

Located on the outskirts of Cardiff and within easy reach of the City Centre, Newport and the M$, our Training Centre is purpose built with excellent teaching facilities. Established in 2002, we offer a range of training courses in various construction trades to adults and young people and have recently secured new programmes.

Opportunities have arisen for Tutors in the following trades to join our team:

• Painting & Decorating
• Plastering
• Brickwork
• Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Wall & Floor Tiling

Key responsibilities of these positions will inclde the planning, preperation and teaching of the above specialist trades to learners, providing guidance, encouragement and motivation.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following key skills & qualifications:

• Experience in relevant trade
• NVQ or City & Guilds in trade desireable
• Experience of teaching & assessing learners desireable
• Hold a teaching qualification, Cert Ed or equivealant or be prepared to achieve the qualification
• Excellent communication skills

Hours of work shall be 37.5 per week
